Infernal Domain
Source: Custom Domain
Type: Custom Domain
Overview
The Infernal Domain focuses on demonic power, infernal magic, and the corruption of the infernal realms. Clerics of this domain serve Elilial, the Queen of Demons, drawing power from demonic sources and infernal entities.
Associated Deities
- Elilial - Queen of Demons (former pantheon member)
Warning: Elilial left the pantheon violently and now leads the Black Wreath. Clerics of the Infernal Domain are heretical to most religions and may face persecution.
Important: Clerics using Infernal magic use the Infernal mana system, not Divine mana. See Mana for details.

You gain domain spells at the cleric levels noted in the Infernal Domain Spells table. See the Magic/Divine page for how domain spells work.

Domain Features
Clerics who choose the Infernal Domain gain the following features:
Bonus Proficiency
At 1st level, you gain proficiency with martial weapons.
Infernal Presence
At 1st level, you gain the ability to channel infernal power. When you take damage from a creature within 60 feet of you that you can see, you can use your reaction to cast Hellish Rebuke at that creature as a 1st-level spell without expending a spell slot. The spell deals fire damage.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Channel Divinity: Summon Infernal Ally
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to call upon infernal allies. As an action, you summon a demon of challenge rating 1/4 or lower. It appears in an unoccupied space within 30 feet of you and is friendly to you and your allies. It acts on your initiative, and you determine its action each turn. The demon remains for 1 hour or until it is reduced to 0 hit points.
At 6th level, you can summon a demon of challenge rating 1/2 or lower. At 10th level, you can summon a demon of challenge rating 1 or lower.
Infernal Resistance
Starting at 6th level, you gain resistance to fire damage. Additionally, you can communicate with demons and devils as if you shared a language with them.
Divine Strike
At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with infernal fire. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 fire damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
Warning: Using Infernal magic carries risks of corruption, mutations, and severe consequences. See Mana for details on Infernal mana system and tolerance.
Avatar of Infernal Power
At 17th level, you become a conduit for infernal power. You gain immunity to fire damage and can cast Plane Shift once per long rest without expending a spell slot, but only to travel to or from infernal planes. Additionally, you can communicate telepathically with demons and devils of challenge rating 5 or lower, and they are friendly to you unless you attack them or their allies.
Severe Warning: Embracing infernal power at this level carries extreme risks, including permanent corruption, mutations, and the attention of powerful infernal entities. See Mana for details on Infernal tolerance and consequences.
