Archpope Justinian

Archpope Justinian is the head of the World/Factions/Universal Church, the supreme religious authority of the Tiraan Empire and the man who coordinates the many cults of the Pantheon under a single roof. A handsome, distinguished, middle-aged figure with broad shoulders and a famous velvet baritone, he is one of the most recognizable people in the Empire — his influence is widely said to rival that of the Emperor and Empress themselves.

Before taking the highest seat in the Church, Justinian was an adventuring priest of Izara, the goddess of love and mercy, and that formation still colors his public ministry. He preaches hope over despair, mercy over condemnation, and unity among the Pantheon's faithful, and he is known for finding the good even in those who seem most opposed to him.

To the ordinary citizen he is a benevolent reformer. Under his leadership the Church provides material aid in times of crisis, sponsors rural chapels and community projects, and presents itself as a steadying spiritual voice during hard times. He is a gifted public speaker whose carefully crafted addresses are widely heard and widely admired.
