The Trinity

Among the Pantheon, there are three gods who are, at minimum, the first among equals: Avei, Omnu, and Vidius. These three deities hold a unique position within the Pantheon due to several distinguishing characteristics:

Unique Characteristics

Multiple Aspects: The Trinity are unique among the Pantheon in having multiple aspects which they are the gods of. Unlike other pantheon members who typically have one or two domains, each member of the Trinity has three domains: - Avei: War, Solidarity, Strength - Omnu: Life, Light, Peace - Vidius: Grave, Twilight, Trickery

Largest Followings: The Trinity have the largest followings among all the pantheon members. Their broad portfolios and multiple aspects allow them to appeal to a wider range of worshippers than gods with more specialized domains.

Broadest Set of Domains: The Trinity possess the broadest set of domains among the Pantheon. Their multiple domains reflect their complex natures and the wide-ranging aspects of existence they govern.

Significance

The Trinity's status as "first among equals" reflects their central importance to the Pantheon and to mortal civilization. Their multiple aspects make them more versatile and influential than other gods, while their large followings give them significant power and presence in the world. They represent fundamental aspects of existence: war and justice (Avei), life and growth (Omnu), and death and transition (Vidius).

Extant Elder Gods

Prior to the ascension of the current Pantheon approximately 8000 years ago, there existed an older generation of deities known as the Elder Gods. These beings were cruel and capricious beyond modern comprehension. The world under their rule was vastly different—it had a larger repertoire of planes of existence, and magic worked entirely differently, with each of the Elder Gods granting their own unique magic.

When the Pantheon rose up and overthrew the Elder Gods to claim divinity, most of the Elder Gods were destroyed. However, not all perished. Two in particular survived and continue to play important roles in the world today.

Elder God: Extant deity from the pre-Pantheon era, operating under different divine regulations than current Pantheon members (Naiya, Scylith)
Banished: Former member who was forcibly removed from the pantheon (Calomnar - banished to Nether Realm)
Left Peacefully: Former member who departed without conflict
Left Violently: Former member who departed in conflict
Deceased: Former member who is confirmed dead or has been silent for so long that worship no longer grants divine power (Khar, Sorash)
